In the following practice: when I see an illustration that catches my attention due to the beauty of the art, I go to the SketchBook application on my cell phone. After studying most of the uses of brushes, I try to reproduce the art in question, in addition to imitating the likely techniques used by the illustrator. That way I learn. Particularly, I don't watch videos, as I find them monotonous and I can't keep up.
