Description
This is an airship for a game called Aero Empires, on which I am collaborating as a 3d modeller. The premise of the game is that on another world not entirely unlike earth, the planets surface has another atmosphere uninhabitable by humans covering it leaving people to colonize mountains instead. This resulted in the development of air travel via airships as an essential means of trade, transit and war. Powered by steam engines but certainly not steampunk.

There were two concepts up for grabs on a small warship. I took up one but fellow modeller swhibble took up the other and finished it first. With this obsolete as a gunship its concept is being revised probably to be made into a merchant ship. This is the optimised version of the model, I may upload the 'medium res' model later. Also, my first fantasy vehicle! For better view the planes that make up the ropes suspending the hull to the envelope are hidden here.
