im saving up like $300 for food + spending HHH the room is gonna cost me $75 and the badge $80 :'D
cosplay is taking me $60 at most orz;;;

well thats a comfortable goal imo, are you going to be in artists ally or are you more of a dealers room type?
& best of luck with your cosplay, esp if your going to make props..transporting props can be a nightmare depending on how big it is..I guess the same thing if you have a huge dress or something too

i suppose i'm a little bit of both?? it depends on what kind of art they have in the artist alley HHH i mostly splurge on commissions of my fav characters tho bc im such tra s h, i look for DVDs and blu-rays in the dealers room and like those little keychains of certain characters c':
thankfully a lot of my cosplays are compact :'D they used to be huge giant prop cosplays then i got old,, i think i'm mainly gonna be cosplaying SPORTS TRASH and the cosplay i'm planning for is Ryoma Echizen from Prince of Tennis c': (theres also like a tennis court 10 minutes away from the con site and im likE ??? PHOTOSHOOT????)

I recently found out an acquaintance got scammed by an artists in the dealers room for a oc drawing idk y but i guess it happens??
& yeah Im always on the look out for keychains of husbendos, cuz I always happen to like the ones no one wants to make art of..r.i.p

(ugh con drama is the worst, hopefully this year we can all avoid it, it really breaks the immersion of cons and can really ruin the experience depending how much of a jerk the other person is)

and yeah ive been going to cons ever since i was 16 maybe(??) i've seen it all :''D cons are always 100% better with friends I agree!! its always good to have people to hang with over weeb stuff :> AND YES RYOMA HHH i love him so much <33 I'm utter trash though because I actually do play tennis so I got Ryoma's brand of tennis racquet for both playing and the cosplay OTL
(OH DEFINITELY, man i have been through SO MUCH;;; even drama that didn't directly involve me, but people are massive jerks and it really can ruin the con experience;; i had lowkey uncomfy drama with the person helping me table for artist alley and while they were gone to change into a different cosplay I had to contain an anxiety attack while dealing with customers and looking like i wasn't about to breakdown and cry TT v TT,, im honestly nervous about this convention, its literally been over a year since I've gone to a convention that didn't suck + make me feel anxious BUT I'M HOLDING MY HOPES OUT FOR A-KON c:< )

Ahhh yeah I think you and my friend would totally hit it off, esp since you have legit merch. I personally respect that cuz I try to get legit one to one merch. of fandoms im in, and tbh its not easy because the one to one stuff is pricey alot of the time and limited stock, you have to get that stuff ON THE DOT or else the opportunity is out the window orz
(ohh do you always try to get a table for AA? Gosh I hope I happen to find you'rs at a con one day xD
and...yeah that sounds horrifying...I dont even know how I'd even handle that sort of situation tbh. Drama just sucks big time :c The first time i've experienced it indirectly was this one cosplayer getting mad & snobby because i invited the same character she was, to be in the picture with this guy.....I just did that cuz i didnt want the other same character to feel left out or that i was picking the one girl over the other because of looks Like they were right next to each other i didnt want to seem mean or judgy! I just wanted to take pictures of anyone within my fandom for the sake of fun //weeep

i feel that omg, especially with the character keychains since they only have like 3-5 per character depending on how popular it is (also tfw youre in a really obscure fandom and are eye-ing that one keychain from that one show/video game you think no one cares about but when you come back later its gONE)
currently i only apply to one convention (because a-kon's tables are like $300 haha;;;; ) but this year i got waitlisted so i'm probably not doing it ; v ; at the same time it'll be good to have a refreshing con where i'm able to walk around instead of staying in one spot
sometimes cosplay communities can be toxic as hell it rlly sucs ; u ; ;; but thank you!! i hope it goes well as well OTL i'm hoping certain people i want to avoid won't show up, but you never know,, but this time i'm hanging with friends who are actually chill and good

AHHH IKR..Its like people are synced up to the point they subconsciously know when you want to come back to buy something//weep orz
& GEEZ 300 bucks my god, you must have to sell ALOT in order to make a profit or else your just replenishing the 300 just for the table @ A@;;;
(i guess artists in AA must bring alot of suitcases and such just for selling...I never really think about that. Much more respect to you and artists in AA now)

my first and only time i made like ~$1600 (sadly all spent by now) i felt extremely lucky and it certainly boosted my confidence for art because it was like "hey people actually like my stuff enough to give me money??" to be fair a-kon is definitely one of the "big cons" in the nation and its really hard to get a spot ; v ; the con i tabled at was around ~$120
(and oh yes god having to drag that shaky bungee tied mess to and fro in elevators and across the street was hell, plus the extra suitcase for cosplay ; v ; )
