Reference from [link] here's the pic [link]Tried mixing pencil with white pastel on toned paper, I liked the look of my last drawing (the charcoal + white pastel one) but I thought I'd try with pencil to see if I can add more detail than with charcoal. I guess I have to keep on practicing.

He intentado mezclar lapicero con pastel blanco sobre papel de color, me gustó cómo quedaba mi dibujo anterior (el de carboncillo y pastel blanco) pero pensé en intentarlo con lápiz para ver si podía añadir más detalle que con el carboncillo. Seguiré practicando.

Canson mi-teintes toned paper (some kind of grey...I think it was called "gris trianon" in spanish, don't know the equivalent in English...)

I've always liked to draw, but I seriously stared drawing portraits like 4 years or so

But I haven't tried it out yet, is it similar to 'normal' wooden pencils? I tried charcoal as an alternative, but wasn't satisfied with the extreme softness and crumbliness.

You should try, it's a lot of fun! I bought wooden white pastel pencils and used my regular wooden pencils that's it!

This is so beautiful <3 I looked at your reference and I found that your picture has something that's missing in the original photograph, something that gives your drawing the last little perfect touch. Your drawing is somehow more.. touching than the photo. (know what I mean?^^'')
