I love this for as a metaphor; I think a lot of us see ourselfelves in others, or a lteast wish to see ourselfelves in others, like when one person expects another to be honest to them - usually they don't expect dishonest because they think to themselfelves, 'Well, I don't see a reason for lying, so they probably don't either.'
