Second to last AP breadth assignment! Prompt was "time and memory"...
I don't remember my past like a normal person. The only reason I know things that have happened to me is that people have told me, showed me, or I still just know what it was supposed to be, but I rarely remember visuals or scents or tastes or what not. Except, there are random flashes of memory, scenes in vivid detail as though I were there, to make up for the lack of general memory. I imagine that must be what it's like when a betta fish moves fast: their fins would get twirled through these gorgeous contortions and twists, but you would never know because a moment later he'd be resting on the bottom of the bowl again, silent once more.
