it was taken in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, Israel.

hey! I was there in October! What time of day was that? And what lens did you use??? I want to take a shot like that when I go back.

the shot was taken something like noon or so just when the sun was perfectly set up above the church.
I took this shot with a very wide angle lens, the sigma 10-20 I borrowed from a friend.
this lens is in my wishlist
I took several shots and combined them together in photoshop to increase the angle.

yup we did but everything happen so fast cause theres so much to visit in jerusalem, and i even still didnt own a DSLR at that time so i dont have good pics,
i dont know if you herd the news last march at the nazareth church ( i forgot the name of the church but it was the church where marry used live there before bethlehem)we were the only torrist inside there during the attack of those ukrainian pranksters (they set-up power full fire works inside the church ) we even got it on video (camera phone)
im planning to visit there again maybe in future this time ill be taking good pics with my alpha hope to see you there someday and some israeli deviant like gilad.

yes, Jerusalem has so much to offer for the photographers.
you don't need to worry about the DSLR, it's always you, not the camera.

i love this shot man.. at first, i thought it was a drawing but then i realize it was a photograph. beautiful angle though its kinda odd why the lightrays isnt that visible. anyhow, its all good.

oh wow!!!!!!! that is one of the greatest photos ive seen on DA if not anywhere for a long time, it really shows how lonely one can feel within religion, and then when your feeling your lonliest you turn to it for help, at least thats what i got out of it! amazing
