When I played UNDERTALE for the first time I fell for Toriel, she just felt like a mother and I started to cry when I thought people who took the genocide run would have to kill her... which I did as well two months later (I just wasn't ready to kill my precious friends before, but wanted to see all the content of this beautiful game by myself). I thought of this picture when I killed Toriel. I'm sorry, mum.

For me, this is the feelings of pain and regret in the shadow of a relentless murderer.
On a side note, I recently finished my perfect ending again so I was able to give my UT friends the happy end they all deserve... for a second time.
