oh. I don't play undertale so whenever I see art like this I get confused. I thought chara was the evil side of frisk and it was the same person, just two different personalities.

I know that this is kinda late, and you probably alredy found out what i am going to say, but just in case - Chara is a ghost of a first child the fell into Underground, and she possese Frisk's soul. She believed by many players to be the narrator of the game, and also genocidal , demonic but still impossibly cute. Even from what we can find about her/him (i believ that Chara is a girl btw) in game, it looks like she was fucked up even befor she fell to Underground and had rather psychotic and vengeful character, but still cared for those who somehow ended up in her "friends" list. Idk, but that sounds like complete tsundere for me.

Tsundere is a japanese word for someone who acts creepy anf harsh to those which he/she loves, but still cares about them a lot. Also Chara commited suicide (to let her stepbrother Asriel to use her soul and breach The Barrier that separates human world and Underground), but whole plan gone wrong and he died, hence both theire lives ended with whole lot of unfinished business, fear and desperation so thats why her spirit is restless. And yes, UT is dark af, if you actually read text, but it is also can become bright af if you play it correctly.
