Description I took about a week working on this on and off, even a bit of time when I only had one contact in because the other one ripped. This is all done in Painter 8 with my wacom tablet, oil medium. I did use a photo reference for the girl. Thank you [link] for the reference, you are very lovely.

For this piece, I wanted to really start getting into the habit of adding in backgrounds with my paintings, they seem to add a bit more to my artwork than just a person standing there with a blank background.

Please let me know what you think; what I could do to make it better. I appreciate any comments, even if they are short.

It looks very effectively! You are right - the background improves impression from work very much. It would be desirable to make the small remark. Such abundance of a red background by all means should give red reflection on a body and a dress of model.

I think it's... fabulous. I particularly like the different fabric textures displayed they're amazing... the translucid one in the window, the velvety drapes, the girl's outfit... the there's the light, the girl's face looking so realistic... FABULOUS

I like this. I remember seeing Amber before when I had another account, and your efforts made her quite recognizable, nice job there. Also, you took a difficult pose and managed it very well, especially her right arm. My eye also enjoys the fact that the colors are complimetary of each other, yet provide enough contrast to maintain grasp of the perspective. Very very nice, and thanks for shairng.
