"I use a wheelchair most of the time because it's easier, I can go faster and further without getting too tired, and it doesn't hurt as much. But I can still move my legs, I can stand and even wobble a few steps.
"It's easier to transfer into my car if I stand first. My right leg is very weak, so I use my hand to lift it into the car. If I concentrate really hard I can lift my left leg in the way most people do, but it's not easy.
"I've been doing this for a few years, so it goes fast. And I'm independent and happy again."
