Description
So - the best of the day from Warwick Castle. I love this shot for the technical difficulty (for me, at least) of getting this shot, which would have been totally impossible with my old camera. This is the shot that made me fall in love with my D80.We sat down to watch the Winged Warriors show and have some lunch, but we were further from the ring than my 135 would allow and I thought I'd miss any good shots, until the end of this Bald Eagles display, when he flew back to his other handler - standing about 5 metres behind us. I had about 2 seconds to get the shot, snapped off 3 of which 2 were good and this was the best.
I've cropped the shot a tiny bit and added the border. It didn't really need much more!

That's a great shot, if at all a lucky one. When the eyes are perfectly exposed so you can see the color and the tone in them - you know you've got the focus bang on.
