Oh my, thank you so much for this-- I really needed a tutorial like this cause these days IDK why, but I think I've like forgotten how to color or add detail because I haven't had time to draw-- orz but this really helped me and freshened up my memory! Whichever one you want .D. If you have Sai, use that, etc. im sure this effect is possible in most programs so dont worry about which one

Well, you would either scan it or take a picture of it then paste it into your program. You'd have to play around in the settings such as 'contrast' and 'brightness' to get the lines as clear as possible. Next, you can either go over the lines (in sai there's a lineart layer so you could use a mouse) or set the lineart layer to 'multiply' and then use a layer underneath it for the colours c: If you have any questions feel free to ask .w.
