Description
a bit larger than ususal but sometimes some images just need that...I really hope you like it as I consider this the sum of all the things I've "absorbed" about photography.
Thank you everybody for your feedback, for your help and for being a continous source of inspiration.

how did you make the sky look so surreal?

this is essentially the sky I saw with a little dodge and burning... not much anyway.
hope this answer your question.

This just went straight to my wishlist
I do hope that people take the time to view this in full-view - the finer details of the capture need to be appreciated and they certainly add to the final effect. The sense of being lost (yet in a comforting way) is what hit me when I first viewed the piece. There are a lot of emotions here, and a lot of different dynamics to match. Simply beautiful - a shot that I could stare at for hours!

gahhhhhhh......
wow dude, mesmerizing shot!! Absolutely essential that you submitted this size...(lucky for me i have 1600x1200 so i can take it all in at once )
i love the meaning and symbolism one can extract from this shot, including your description of being the sum of what you have learned, wonderful way to put it. That stream of water that is leading towards the "being" brought another title to my head: "It all flows back to you"
lovin it

stupenda!

grazie mille comunque...

WOW!!!
love the contrast of the sharpness of th ebeach and softness fo the sky, the run in with the water leads the eye straight to the subject matter
but my favorite bit is the little touches the footprints and the streams of light.
absolutely AWESOME shot.. definately a fav

I love the black and white; it really sets the scene.
Very dramatic!

Fantastic shot. You did an amazing job with the composition of this; the centering of the person, the lighting, the small stream of water... The black and white also makes the entire thing. I doubt it would be nearly as great if it were in color.
Very nice work.
