Well, you've mostly made it look like hair, but on the top it's black without "hairstrands". Or maybe it's just my computer doing it... has happened before

Nope you're right, it's mostly fully dark on the picture. The strands I did on my high res picture were too 'thin" it seems so they were lost in the 'compression'. Nice remark, thank you

The elves are just different that in any other Bioware games, 'tis all.

Yes indeed they look 'a bit' more like Na'vi in this game, guess Bioware wanted to give them a 'new look'.
About accents, I couldn't say if it's irish or not but I like their voices as well
