Description
To Purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print, please click HEREIt's only the middle of october, but the wind on the high alpine tundra carries winter on its breath. A bull elk and his harem spend the morning grazing on whats left of the grasses of an extremely short summer. Longs Peak, one of Colorado's most famous "fourteeners" is already covered in a blanket of snow. Low lying clouds, caused by temperature inversion, are stuck in the lower valleys, completing as perfect a scene as I can imagine.

Epic scene there, I bet this would look great as a huge print. Great job exposing that dark foreground, very impressive. Did you blend exposures or just use filters?

actually the light was pretty evenly filtered by the clouds so theres no blending or filters used on this shot at all
