I had been waiting around this den for about an hour hoping for the foxes to come out, a few peeked their heads out but ran away as soon as they saw me. Usually if an adult fox isn't home the pups are really shy. Soon the mom came back from wherever she was and all 6 pups ran out to greet her. After that they were quite bold around me.
P.S. If you're wondering what the stuff is behind them its old farm equipment. this family of foxes makes their den under an old abandoned building.

I love this photo, each pup has its own personality that shows in what they're each choosing to do. Must say this is the strong mother image exemplified, she can take care of all 6 and tolerates their antics. Adorable, and beautifully shot.
