The cover for Nonplayer #1, released April 6 2011 by Image Comics.All of the pages for Nonplayer are drawn directly in Photoshop CS3 using a Cintiq tablet monitor. For line work I use default brush settings at 100% hardness.
For coloring, I use the popular Multifill and Flatten plugins ([link] ) to build selectable areas of color, and then I add new layers of color at different blend modes and opacities (this is a pretty random, haphazard, and slow process).

i hate you so much... i saw this on cbr and started reading. there were little tears of joy forming as my hear jumped of joy...
finally, someone with a thoughtfully crafted fantasy tale, great characters, fantastic opening
and then came the page with word korea
i still wicsh there was someone with a camera recording cause i facepalmed so hard i had a handprint on my face for an hour later....i actually borderline screamed noooooooooooooooo.... it was a mere loud yell
cause then i realised it is an mmorpg world comic
and my heart sunk into an utter depression
and yes, just to clarify, i am busing this 1000 percent, each issue will be lovingly added to my collection
but simply cause i adore the meticulous craftsmanship
yeah.. ill probably like the story too, i noticed the skillful writing so comic will probably rock overall
but there are just too few good fantasy comics with writing and art that can excite a fantasy geek like myself
and you did it... and then crushed my heart
daaaaaamn yooooouuuuu!!!!!!
now im off to wait for the mailman with my copy XD

I wanted to let you know that I've put NonPlayer in my Pull List after reading the preview. The visuals are just stunning. And I have to say you've got yourself a leg up on the dot hack stuff with the story. I was wondering how far you plan on going with the comic? Is it going to be a ongoing comic or a mini series?
