What if... This if why they are together.

This is a contest entry I did for 's contest.

Yay I finally got it done! I feel like with my family crowding over me all day I couldn't get it done, but I did. Thank God I got an idea too, I wanted to do George originally (since I love him), but I couldn't think of anything to do or anyone to put him with, then this idea popped into my head.

Flash walked beside his father, they had been taking these walks for years now. They would go around the herd a few times to be sure everyone was in check then return to a place to stand watching over everything. This time though, this time was different, they stopped a little ways away from two mares. One was Flash's mother, Lina, the other was a young mare named Violet. "You know Flash, if you wish to have". They looked to the mares who were rubbing noses.
Lina was clearly unhappy with this arrangement. I do this for you son... She thought unhappily. She wanted the best for her son of coarse so she would do whatever was necessary to help him get a herd of his own, even sucking up to a mare she really didn't like.
Flash stood still looking at them, while his father had turned away. "I'll think about it" he whispered to himself.
