Considering that it came out June 12th and they wrote the comment on the 20th, I'd say after a week spoilers are fair game. After all, everyone knows that if you haven't watched/read/played the thing, don't read comments about the thing that may reveal possible spoilers!
Not to mention saying a character didn't die isn't much of a spoiler unless the previews had set it up so it looked like the character would die. Now, if they had said "I wish ____ character hadn't died," that's a spoiler.
