Edit: I finally added Rapunzel to the list of Sailor Princesses. She was incredibly fun to draw 
Hi there! Oh my gosh what have I done? Have I fallen back into the Sailor Moon/Disney Princesses thing again?! Oh boy
I did my first Sailor Princesses back in 2007. I guess I felt that I could do better because, man there are so many GREAT designs out there! Its hard to let it go!
Added a few new faces, Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. And Princess Nancy (yeah!) from the movie Enchanted. She married Prince Edward (not Giselle) and is now royalty. Go her, she fits in my book
To answer a few questions that I've gotten before, I add Pocahontas to the list because it seems unfair not to. Tiger-lily from the movie Peter Pan is called "Princess Tiger-lilly" and she is a chief's daughter. Pocahontas is a chief's daughter. I just think its unfair to not add her because she was not called "Princess" in the movie, when clearly her position is called "Princess" in another. So thats that. Mulan doesnt count. Not a princess, she didnt marry into it and she wasn't royalty to begin with. For some reason it seems Poca and Mulan are put together, I don't know why.
Second question I am getting is "Who is Nancy? Well, Nancy is from the 2007 Disney film Enchanted. She is a hard working woman who gets pulled into Andalasia, a cartoon land with a man called Prince Edward. They fall in love and get married. [link]
Another question I keep getting. I do not consider the sailor collar to be a necessity of being a sailor scout. I always thought that the girls were called "sailors" because it was just another name for "army" or "soldier" or what have you. I just thought the name was cool and not the reason they are called "Sailor Scouts." They all wear skirts, but they aren't called "Skirt Scouts." So not every Sailor Princess has a collar, or a tiara, or a choker etc. I gave them what I gave them because I thought it worked with their design.

Thank you everyone for beating me over the head with "sailor scout" trivia. I have had more than enough people tell me that these girls are not sailor scouts because they don't have a collar. I GET IT. It does not change these designs. As deviant Jeanne-Summers pointed out: in later seasons [...] the Sailor Stars had completely different uniforms, hot pants and sports bras in black leather. Thank you, Jeanne-Summers

Sailor Names and Powers! WOOO! (just the same as they were before)
Sailor Princess Rapunzel - Rapunzel has possessed hair that snakes out a grabs you like octopus tentacles!
Sailor Princess Kida - With her power crystal, pure engery runs through her viens zapping anything in her path.
Sailor Princess Cinderella - (my fav) she does not only kick ass but she can turn people in to (what else?) glass and transform anything glass into a weapon.
Sailor Princess Eilonwy - She can use magic, could control mist and fog as well.
Sailor Princess Snow White - Can talk to animals! Has the ability to make her animal friends her little minions.
Sailor Princess Tiger Lilly - Calls forth spirits of the past with her ceremonial dances to fight!
Sailor Princess Belle - She's all about enlightenment, telepathy, her book smarts outwit any advisary. Even has a magic mirror!
Sailor Princess Nancy - She has the ability to travel through different dimensions and use technology like cell phones and powerpoint and hand guns!
Sailor Princess Pocahontas - Has the power of the wind and sweep enemies right off their feet! Hurricane winds make her a kick ass scout.
Sailor Princess Tiana - Calls forth her Voodoo power to vanquish evil, and turn into a frog! Also has a pet Gator with powerful jaws!
Sailor Princess Ariel - She can sway the powers of the ocean deep (duh) speak to water animals, create monsoons...
Sailor Princess Jasmine - Can call upon the sun and moon, blind enemies with beams of light or complete darkness, eclipses are her specialty.
Sailor Princess Aurora - Her singing voice causes vibrations in the matter around her - buildings can crumble, her songs can defen.

Yes, she is from Enchanted. I added her because she married a prince in an animated world and thats really all the requirement for a Disney Princess. Actually its less than that but whatevs.

#smacks forehead# darn you Dic and crummy english translation team.The sailor scouts were originally called the 'Sailor Senshi,' senshi being a japanese word for soldier, the sailor came from the full name which was never used in translation which goes along the ling 'pretty sailor suited senshi,' the sailor part coming from the uniforn which is supposed to be a magical girl version of the female 'sailor suit' worn in some japanese schools, so yes the sailor collar was part of the reason they were called SAILOR scouts.

But then again in later seasons which were never aired the Sailor Stars had completely different uniforms (hot pants and sports bras in black leather #cringes#) so I guess you can get away with it.

Question, would you consider Maid Marian a Disney Princess?
In the Disney version of RobinHood she is the Niece of King Richard.
That would make her a princess technically, as she would be daughter of one of King Richard's siblings, and granddaughter of the last King. Therefore, she is in line for the throne.
In fact, since neither Richard or his brother John seem to have any siblings, she would be the heir presumptive. In other words, she is in line to take the throne unless one of them has children.

Hmm, I don't know! I did not know/remember that she was the niece of King Richard in Robbin Hood.
I can tell you that I never considered her because the character "Maid Marian" is all over the place in literature. She's been a court lady, the daughter of the sheriff, an orphan taken under Richard's care... none of them portray her as a princess though.
I looked it up as to whether being related to royalty *makes* you royalty (ie a princess) and it does not look to be so.
This is what I got from the internet: "A person is always immediately followed in the succession by his or her own legitimate descendants (his or her line) except for any legitimate descendants who already appear higher in the line of succession. Birth order and gender matter: older sons (and their lines) come before younger sons (and theirs); a person's sons (and their lines) irrespective of age, all come before his or her daughters (and their lines). (Elder daughters and their lines also take precedence over younger daughters and theirs.)"
So that means that if King Richard does not have sons, and he dies, then one of his siblings will take the throne. One of them that is still alive and then their sons and daughters will be in line for prince, princess, king, queen. As of the movie, with Richard being king, his siblings are princes, and that makes Marian just a "maternal niece to the sovereign."

Yes you're right, being related to the king doesn't make you a prince/princess, but if you are the -only- child of the king or his brothers/sisters then you are, because you'd be the heir.
This is what I was questioning. Richard and John don't seem to have any children, so unless there is another male sibling hidden somewhere, she looks to be the heir.
Now if she is even 2nd or 3rd in line for the throne, she may not have the title princess. It is my understanding that in the United Kingdom royal titles are passed only from the father, therefore if she is the daughter of Richard's brother she'd be a Princess in title, but not if she is the daughter of Richard's sister.
For example, in England today, the son of the Queen is a Prince, and so are his children. But, on the other hand, the Queen's sister was a Princess, but her children are not a Prince and Princess. Though if the Queen had a brother, he would be a Prince, and so would his children.
I guess it all comes down to, she'd be a Princess if she has no male cousins (which there don't seem to be any) or if her father was a brother of the king.
None of which is known.
All that's known is the Disney version puts her as niece to the king.

Oh I'm loving it! I've recently finished a book set in 14th century England/France and its all about royals, squires, lords and ladies.
Well, obviously we must know that Richard and John must have another brother if Maid Marian is to exist (I don't see Prince John saying "daughter" anywhere) or this other sibling of theirs COULD be a sister. Which again makes her very low on the totem pole.
But yes, Disney version gives us no answers so all we can do is assume.

Haha, I'm glad you like Nancy in it. Though I love Giselle and find her to be fabulous, I really love Nancy. I think that if some prince asked me to be HIS princess and live in a magical animated world, I would totally do it!!
As for Cinderella's dress, you know that it's gray in the movie right? And her hair is orange? Disney merchandising changes her color more and more each year. I once saw a Belle that had blonde hair. Blonde! Anyway, they sell pretty colors to young girls, you know how it is.
I think thats why they always put Aurora in pink and never in blue. Cinderella is the "Blue" girl now. It doesn't matter that most of Sleeping Beauty Aurora is in blue, its just what sells.

Just FYI (NOT criticising, because I think this is great), the reason they were called Sailor Senshi (senshi was the original word, meaning soldier or warrior in Japanese) was, in fact, because of the sailor-style collar they all had. Scout is a mis-translation for the English dub.
And some fuku (costumes) just look better without the collar!

i love the fact that aurora is in her blue dress and not her pink one, and that you took cinderella's original form instead of what we see today. oh and you included eilonwy and kida, who are awesome, despite people totally forgetting about them

Alright, you are epic JUST for including Nancy! She gets no love, and I don't understand why.
Also, I want to point out that not all sailor scouts do, in fact, wear skirts. The starlights didn't wear skirts, and their chokers and tiaras are different. This does kind of prove that the sailor collar is the only constant in the costumes, but it is still a good picture. ^^
