.........Submitting to :iconimprovement-club: . If anyone has any suggestions on how I can improve this drawing (i.e. "try making her hands smaller.") or they think something doesn't look right and want to point it out (i.e. "The shading looks weird on the right.") I'd love to hear about it. Critiques and creative criticism are welcome and appreciated.

Hi there! This looks great! I think the intricate detail style looks really great with the black pen. And the crosshatching was done really well, I'll bet THAT took a lot of patience. One thing I will mention is that the character doesn't stand out much from the background because its all so dark and full on. I think it looks good in some places but around the waist particularly it would be nice if the backdrop were a little lighter so she didn't kind of blend into it. Also I think her head might be a bit too small but this might be because I am so used to looking at manga style but it seems Lucy heaven agrees so maybe just a bit bigger would be good. And I think her eyes might be a touch too high... again not really sure because we are talking subtle things here and people come in all different shapes and sizes. Plus the arm might be a bit twisted. Not like broken twisted just not a very natural position for the arm to be in with the palm facing up like that try making that pose with a mirror to check if I am right, I am doing it right now and its a bit uncomfortable for me. Also is her thumb on the inside? Its really hard ot tell cause she is holding the skirt so I would never have noticed had you not submitted it to this group but just check on that. Other than that looking great. Man that skirt looks really good too... so many folds it looks like a lot of fabric that has been gathered a lot, I like skirts like that in real life.

The only thing that stands out as looking odd to me is her arm. It looks like her shoulder ends halfway down her forearm or that she has an extra joint there or something.
I loooove everything else. The detail on the corset is gorgeous and the stairs are angled and shaded perfectly.
