Description
Haliaeetus albicilla, one of Romania's "most highest" treasures. One of nature's most freest animals, The Great Codalb is a king of the sky. Watching his prey from above, is ready to strike at the optimal moment like a thunder and then to soar triumphally into the magical colors of the sunset, as a conqueror that he is, a conqueror of the ground and sky...
Own stock used. The sky is from my "Natureview-XLIII" photo nazareanu.deviantart.com/art/Nβ¦

Deci, pur si simplu este.....
uluitoare. Privirea aceea amenintatoare, cromatica... perfectiune. In momentul asta sunt absolut socata

A wonderful portrait of a beautiful creature.I love the angle and the perfect focus on the eyes.Probably the background doesnΒ΄t help to much-I see it a bit unnatural.
Best all,
Remus

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. I think the background helps still, on the first visual impression.

Wow. This is beautiful beyond words I have to describe. I love the colours and that gorgeous fierce eye - this truly is a one in a million shot.
Is this bird wild or in captivity?

Thank you very much for your appreciation and your lovely words.
It makes me very happy when I get this kind of messages.
The bird was wild, but sadly was shot down! by some poacher... my colleagues found it when they were out on the field. What you see is the naturalized body of the bird.
In the background I added a blurred sunset photo of mine.

You're welcome.
Oh, that's such a pity. I'm glad you were able to capture the beauty of such a wonderful animal, even if it was deceased.

He looks very intelligent, and his eye as you have it looks right out at you, the watcher. Great detail, great colors.
Pardon me, though, what is the 'Great Coldalb'? Hawk, falcon, etc.? I will Google it, as well...
