There was a really nice thunderstorm yesterday and everything got really cool and there were clouds and rain and stuff and it was cool and nice and made me wanna draw Fluttershy so I did. :3 Thanks to FluffyXai, LookitsMyArt and the good ol’ boys at MLPDrawingSchool for helping salvage the wing. Lovely color palette. The mane shading makes it look kinda flat, but in the overall picture it's hardly noticeable.

I did most of the heavy stuff in ClipStudio before kicking it back to Photoshop. Perhaps doing the hair entirely in PS is the best way to go? I'll try it out next time around - thank you for the feedback, bud.

What makes it look flat is probably the hairline ending with a sharp corner and the evenness of the shading. I love the layering your created by thinking of it as strips of paper, but you kinda forgot to give it thickness.
I wouldn't ditch CSP entirely if I were you, I heard it's the best software for linework and inking. Don't take my advice too seriously tho, try and see what works for you.

If I may, you ever think of doing a piece for Quantum Castaways? It recently updated after a 3-year hiatus. If you haven't read it, it's pretty awesome. The closest fanfiction to it would probably be Mother of Invention. The Applejack survival one.
