"My Love May Give You Strength, but My Hate Gives Me Power."Environment practice!
I apologize for my lack of skillz as far as lighting is concerned, so here is the posing sketch if you're confused as to how she was intended to appear, minus the raised hoof because that ended up looking funny. ncmares.deviantart.com/art/Cad… My bad. :[
P.S. Lightning is fun to draw, but I don't know how to draw rain. mad props to for their rain brushes!
EDIT: Serious thankage to my homees at EQD for number 16 in the Drawfriend! www.equestriadaily.com/2014/05…
Inspired a friend-off fanfic!

You know, I was afraid of that. :[ I must continue lighting practice, for sure. Here's the version without all that jazz. ncmares.deviantart.com/art/Cad…

I was having trouble seeing them too until I saw the pose sketch. I think that my eyes got tricked into thinking that the cape was somehow her arms and it really didn't look right, which I realise now how stupid that sounds. Possibly to do with the position of the lightsabre being similar to the pose of balancing a sword on a shoulder, again I am aware that is not possible with a lightsabre. I think that with it being so dark the strips of fabric on the legs disrupt the shape and it's difficult to make them out. I'm still having a hard time spotting her right-foreleg.
Having said that, now I have seen the pose without the lighting and know where all of the body parts go, this picture is awesome And honestly, the legs being hard to spot may just be due to looking at different monitors. Even with the issues I had this is the coolest picture of Cadence I've seen in a while

Yeah, that was totally not meant to be negative, sorry if it came off like that. This picture is totally awesome and I love it I put it up on the monitor I watch most of my media on and it looks far better, I think that the things that mess up the lighting are (kinda obviously) the contrast and (strangely) the dot pitch. I tried about five different monitors & screens ranging from Laptops to CAD monitors to a smartphone because I felt kinda bad for being negative. The more refined the dot pitch the less the legs get lost in the disruptive camo effect, it is totally my fault for looking at this on my laptop first. I hope this helps.

No need to apologize - I've also noticed that she appears much darker on my phone than a monitor. Ah, well.

nope, I just re-read that you got rid of the right-foreleg, ignore that bit.
