Description I forgot to draw a zipper, okay?!

Ctesias (summarizing Photius) described unicorns (or, as he called them, "monokerata") as wild asses (stop snickering) from India. He said they were as big as horses or bigger, and had white bodies, dark red heads, and "bluish" eyes, and their horns were white at the base, black in the middle, and red at the tip. Aelian gives a similar description, replacing "dark red" with "purple" and "bluish" with "dark blue"; both writers tell about how drinking from a cup made from a unicorn horn will cure epilepsy and poisoning, and make a point of mentioning that, unlike other solid-hoofed animals, one-horned asses have both knucklebones and a gallbladder (and the knucklebones of a unicorn are apparently a real sight to see, let me tell you!). Specifically mentioning that their hooves are solid is strange when comparing to medieval writers and artists, who often showed it as having a goat's cloven hooves and even a beard. I gave this one cloven hooves, a shaggy flame-like tail, and a spiral horn like the ones in medieval tapestries, but used Ctesias as a guide for the coloration. Also it has a human torso in place of a head, for branding reasons.
