New illustration of Phren, the mascot I designed for my blog [link] last year.

The name Phren was chosen after the ancient greek word φρήν, which means heart as organ of reason.
It was common for ancient greek philosophers and poets to refer to the heart with three different words, to discern the meanings associated with it: as it was identified as the most important organ in the body, it was called kardia (καρδιά) if meant as the muscle and organ; thumos (θυμός) if meant as source of emotions; phren (φρήν) if meant as mind.

Now, the theme of my blog is supposed to be the infinity, and since in the human history we always tried to understand the infinity in the limits of our intellect, I’ve chosen this name for her, because she's supposed to be the girl who travels on a star to the infinity and beyond.
