  Chai is a very stubborn dog. If he wants something, he'll do anything to get it. Sometimes his stubborness is bad for him, because he often "pushes" it too far. He had this trait from when he was a pup. It runs in his blood to fight, and do anything to accomplish his goals. He will not go down without a fight if needed.

  Despite his stubborn personality, Chai is gentle. From a young age, he didn't want to harm anyone or anything without a reason. He basically "doesn't want to hurt a fly". Of course, if he has to, he will fight. Chai has a soft spot for little puppies. He would be very protective over them. Some could say overprotective. Many times he was let to play with children alone. None of them were hurt and of course they were having fun with him, since he was a dog himself.

  Even from puppyhood, he is incredibly adventurous. He wants to explore the entire world. From watching TV, he saw what places the world outside Canidale hid. He wishes to travel and explore to all of them. Unfortunately, his owner isn't able to to travel around the world, and doesn't want to. Chai personally enjoys going on adventures in the town, exploring new places, knew alleys, undiscovered places in the part he wants to visit etc. etc. He enjoys going out on walks, giving him the ability to enjoy the world outside his yard.

  Chai may be outgoing, adventurous and gentle, but he is also shy towards strangers. He doesn't open up to them easily and he doesn't trust them to the point they've proven their worth. Chai's owner must introduce them, or else Chai will be barking until his owner calms him down. He isn't fond of meeting new dogs either. He will be quiet and shy for a period of time that usually is about 1 to 2 months. Although, once that period of time is over, Chai will be way more open with people he has met.

  Another trait of his is being very reliable. If another dog tells him to keep a secret, he will. He is very dependable from his own nature. He doesn't want to betray anyone. He imagines how emotionally painful that would be; trusting someone, only for them to betray you in the end. Sometimes he even gets manipulated for being that reliable.

  As you saw earlier, he was mentioned to be overprotective. He is. Chai is incredibly protective over people he loves and considers family and friends, for an example, his own owner. He also has a soft spot for children and puppies. He adores how innocent they are. Chai would be overprotective of his close friends and family. He would fight to the death for their safety.

At last, Chai is charming. He has his way with words. He compliments other people, and mostly his friends. "Your fur is so nice!", "You got beautiful eyes!", "You remind me of a pretty flower", "I love your collar!" is many compliments he uses on other dogs every day. Many of these examples above are used for flirting, for the few times he tried.

Backstory:

  It all started in a town near Canidale. He was born into a farm, from a breeder of the area. He is a purebreed Chow Chow. 2 months after his birth, he was taken by a 19 year old guy. His owner's name is Hector. He took him to his home, starting out his puppy life with his owner. He had met many puppies and many humans. Many liked him, others didn't.

  One day, he had met a very pretty Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Elizabeth. She was the same age as him. They slowly but surely became best friends. They would meet up at the local park almost everyday. They would play together. Hector, Chai's owner, one time was planning to mate them, but that got cancelled, since Hector had to move away to study at a university in the town of Canidale.

  Chai was emotionally destroyed from moving to another town, but he didn't have another option. A month later, they moved away and finally arrived in Canidale. It was a pretty town, with a lot of "green". Chai started to like this town as they were driving around to find the house. He could smell a lot of dogs in the town, meaning he would again slowly start to have friends. A brand new start, a brand new world for Chai. How will it go?
