The title of the comic made me cringe; I just finished reading that book, it was too soon--
Also, the fact that Spingtrap shoved the Marionette and he landed so gracefully that his legs are crossed in the last panel is probably the best thing I've seen today

I'll be honest. This scene didn't go down NEARLY as bad as I was preparing for. Springtrap actually seems a little TAME in my opinion. Yes, yes I know he punched the wall hard enough to snap is wrist clean OFF but...when I think of how VIOLENT he can be....after all he IS a murderer....breaking himself verses what he COULD have done otherwise in a complete animalistic rage? He's still retained a few shreds of self restraint again in my opinion.
I was waiting for Nightmare Chica to have to jump on Springtrap and pull him off Puppet before he smashed him to pieces only for Springtrap to turn on N. Chica and beat the living crap out of them before tearing apart the room then trashing the rest of the building and anyone else who gets in his way.
Less, that is set to happen in the coming pages now that he's run off.
I want to say I think Puppet realized both A how serious this situation is...and B just how close he came to perhaps leaving the realm of the living FOR GOOD considering he's gawking at the busted hand.
I do hope they manage to fit Springtrap's hand later on. He might be a murderer but I still can't help but feel sorry for him in this.

Springtrap's reaction isn't random. He's filled with rage, but instead of going berserk and/or taking it out on his erstwhile victims, he damaged himself.
One, he can't hurt any of the ghost children. They're ghosts. They don't have physical bodies to hurt. That goes for The Puppet too. The Puppet could have passed right through Springtrap's hand if he's wanted to free himself, but he didn't. There's a reason for that, too.
Two, Springtrap's attitudes have been shifting. It's a glacial process, but this revelation, that he was murdered because he was too dangerous to let live, gave it a swift kick. From his point of view, everybody is the enemy. Who are the only people who have shown real concern for him? Right there with him. (Plus, if he'd gotten too far out of hand Plushtrap would have gotten upset, and we've seen what happens when Springtrap behaves badly toward Plushy. Mama Nightmare won't put up with that kinda nonsense.
As for the hand, I have plans for that. Remember why Plushtrap calls Springtrap her father?

Actually I had a little theory going on in my head concerning the whole ghost aspect. I know all of them are ghosts and therefore lack physical bodies to harm but....Springtrap is kind of a ghost himself in one sense. He's undead...or at the very least a soul bound inside the suit which just so happens to have the remains of his old human self lodged inside. So he has a solid body but that doesn't mean he's out of the 'ghosting' business.
Basically what I'm saying is in my weird little brain, Springtrap could have supernatural abilities himself because he is also a ghost/undead. So if he really wanted to hurt the other ghosts he could since we're talking super natural phenomenon vs super natural phenomenon. I like to think ghosts can hurt one another in some fashion, perhaps by disrupting the flow of energy making up their manifestations.
Considering the fact Springtrap has a physical body and one made up of metal therefore he's basically one giant conductor of energy if he wants to be...it [could] allow him to disrupt the other ghost's energies meaning they either have a REALLY had time phasing out of his grasp for example, actually FEEL pain or whatever he desires for them to feel when he makes physical contact since its energy to energy.
-waves hand- But that is just me over complicating things. I do that sometimes, think too much into these aspects.
-nods- His change of attitude is certainly slower than maple syrup on a cold day but its there.^^ However when this hit my thought was "Oh no...someone just hit the HARD REST button and there went all the progress he's made with NOT being a jerk." Guess I was wrong on that. Ahh no biggie it's fun!^^

Poor guy... His only family betrayed him, I know how it feels... I understand that he's mad. He has the right to be, if not even needs to be. In situations like this, Springtrap will try to stay away but deep inside, he'll want someone by his side. Puppet, showtime! But don't mess this up, this is your only chance to approach him.
Ahh... Sometimes we need to be hurt if we want to meet our happy ending...
