Description A Hulk character sheet? Do you have any opinions on this character NegahumanX?

Do I, hypothetical watcher? Of course I do.

I freaking love General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. Just like poor Glen Talbot he has been mistreated by Hulk based media as some jackanapes ass hat who only cares about capturing the Hulk and doesn't care about how it effects anyone else. This should not be farther from the truth.

I'd just like to reiterate here what I think is the main story behind the Hulk mythos. I believe that the Hulk is a story about damaged people clinging to other damaged people in an attempt to cure themselves and ultimately failing. That is why Betty and Bruce works. That is why Talbot is such a beautiful character. That is why Rick Jones is such a great supporting character. That is why Doctor Samson (oh child, you just wait for my rant on him). That is why everyone who touches our dead Doctor Bruce Banner's life ends up dead, insane or broken. These stories are about everyone's Hulks. Be they Betty's emotional dependence keeping her from becoming her own person, Rick's inability to overcome his guilt for being the reason the Hulk is a giant green superhuman causing him to be the eternal sidekick, Doc Samson's guilt for stealing gamma from Bruce and feelings of inadequacy which spur him to become a gamma powered hero, and todays man of the hour...

Thaddeus Ross lost his wife and was left caring for a daughter he had no idea what to do with. He was your typical "man's man stereotype" and as such he dove into his work to drown his feelings of loss. This caused a rift between him and his daughter who would act out in order to get his attention. When he eventually met a young and very troubled young man by the name Bruce Banner. Ross knew of Bruce's past and had confronted his abusive father at one point (which made me so happy). Ross knows that Bruce spent time in a mental institution and was only released because the government wanted a bomb to drop on their enemies at the time. Ross was assigned to Gamma Base as punishment for going against a superior he disagreed with. Not only was he now forced to enable a person he knew wasn't mentally sound by giving him plenty of high tech equipment to play with, his daughter was now grown and flirting with Bruce in order to make him mad. Ross tried to keep them apart but that only made it more fun for Betty, until she developed real feelings for Bruce.

Then the Gamma-Bomb happened. The Hulk was born and Ross went after him, but not in the way he is always shown. It wouldn't be until the Hulk had sent his daughter into mental breakdowns multiple times, that the Hulk's true identity was revealed to be Bruce, that his enemies in the government used the Hulk as an excuse to cut his rank and influence, that he himself was tortured and had his mind assaulted by psychic enemies on multiple occasions that General Ross finally snapped. Before this he was outwardly supportive of Bruce and saw the Hulk as just another affliction this poor young man had thrust upon him by the cruelest of fates. He was more like a surrogate father to Bruce (at least from his own perspective).

Only after all of that was Ross transformed from a supportive friend to a raving, hate filled monster. He was empowered by the monster Zzzaxxx (I don't know if I spelled that right) and later became the Red Hulk. His hatred for the monster that took his life from him became his one and only fixation and he became another victim of his very own Hulk.
