This is what I have been working on for the last few weeks 8D
Basically I wanted to make something Vocaloid-related,
plus it was an excellent practise for making backgrounds too :3
SO I GUESS that I can say that at least I've made fanart of several
of the existing vocaloids as of 20/5-12. ;u;
I took some freedom on the clothes but tried to keep their colourscheme.
Regarding vocaloids without official designs,
I simply chose the one circulating design that appeals the most to me
or that I'm most familiar with.

Avanna hadn't gotten out when I made this picture, I think, but it'd have been
fun to add her in there.

Oh, ha, indeed! Like, I think I came into the Vocaloid fandom either before or after SF-A2 Miki was created. Like, I vaguely remember it, but I definitely remember that neither Big Al, Yuki, nor Kiyoteru were released just yet. Luka might have been, but it's been so long^^
And totally! Like, if I were the designer, I'd be running out of ideas and voices for them. I'm glad they produced so many though, and that the English Vocaloids are also slowly rising up as well

Hmm well, I'm no expert with the release dates but if it was around there,
at least Luka was probably out > v < She came out around the same time as Gakupo, I believe.
Haha, yes, it's been so very long, but it's kind of fun to remember having been around to see most of them be released. :3
You're right! Thankfully there are multiple designers so at least it's not just one person's job.
Of course sometimes the designs become better than other times, but I like mostpart of them.
And yes, it's nice to see the English ones increasing in amounts too..!
Though I will forever love Big Al highly over the rest, they are all alright OuO

Oh yes, I would always go to the Vocaloid wiki, and I would anxiously await seeing new news on the upcoming Vocaloids. Ahh, it was so fun!!

You are a Big Al fan too?! Ah man! I've loved that Vocaloid for like forever! Like, I mean, I admit that I was personally afraid of Big Al's original design, but I actually find his original voice fun as well. The new Big Al is just so flexible though, but the Korean design just makes him look so...how should I put it...unnatural? I dunno, I like it, but then a billion fans hate it, and ugh...It's just one big mess.
