This is what I have been working on for the last few weeks 8D
Basically I wanted to make something Vocaloid-related,
plus it was an excellent practise for making backgrounds too :3
SO I GUESS that I can say that at least I've made fanart of several
of the existing vocaloids as of 20/5-12. ;u;
I took some freedom on the clothes but tried to keep their colourscheme.
Regarding vocaloids without official designs,
I simply chose the one circulating design that appeals the most to me
or that I'm most familiar with.

And oh, yes, that's what I've seen but I haven't really
seen any clear design of it. *shrugs with you*
I agree, it's ridiculous, seeing as he has the most manly
outfit among the adult japanese male vocaloids. Plus you
have to be quite a man to wear pink, don't you? 8D
Of course everyone has different tastes, but quite a few
seem to approve of her design.

Well, I wouldn't say the MOST masculine, as there's Kiyoteru with a suit and tie (rofl), but he's definitely one of the most assertive-looking.
Also, I've noticed that pretty much no one uses the design for Mizki that won the contest. .-.
And hell yeah! I'm a dude, and pink can be pretty rad!
Yeah, so I've seen. :/ Which is a shame because she worked so hard, and it's such a creative design.

True, I had to go check the wiki to see which one you referred to.
Mostly when you see her she's in a more traditional-looking design,
isn't she? Perhaps that one got too well-known before the contest, then.

And it really is, with all the details put in on it. The colour
combination works fantastic as well which is more than can
be said about many designs.

Mmhm! Yeah, that's what I think. Which I assume is why some people are stuck on the traditional design for both Yuuma and Mizki.
I agree completely. Honestly, I'm biting my nails over the silhouette of Kaito Append. His coat is visibly altered, and there's still the transparent muffler issue. I just hope he hasn't changed TOO much. ;~;

Yes, though maybe not as stuck on Yuuma, since he was a bit
delayed and all. Oh well, time will tell which design will last.

though another colour than brown on the pants could be nice. xD

Hah, yes white or maybe black, who knows. The brown pants ARE okay
since they've always been there but it's such a random colour to go
with blue. xD
And aaa same :'D Though I actually don't own any of the Vocaloid
software, so I'm not sure where to begin... I'd love to have some
of the original ones AND their Appends/Extends, but it'll cause
my bank account to cry... ;u;

Rofl, there's also the issue of Kaito's original box art's yellowish skin.... :'D
Ooh, if you're just starting out with Vocaloid, I'd definitely start out with a v2 or v3 bank. v3 is the easiest to work with and produces the cleanest sounds. As much as I love Kaito, I wouldn't recommend getting his original? The program crashes often and is difficult to work with. I'd wait until his Append, if you really want him. (I have Kaito, but I never use him. D': He's just a pain...)

And thank you for the tip, I'll keep it in mind if I actually get
to buy any of them. One's heard of the difficulties with the v1
programs and I'm not sure if it'd work with my level of patience :'D
I guess we'll just have to see, it'd be fun to actually have a few :3
