Description

I draw my demon lady character Mara with indigo colored leotard and purple colored background. lately I mainly use the rough paper and it have very rough texture, it's really attractive but sometimes I want to make smooth surface on rough paper, before I try to flatten by the finger, nail or not sharpen side of colored pencil, but it's not enough to make smooth. it's a way to press with a few strong power on coloring and it's effective but the color become deep and it take longer time.

I think about it and then I notice it's good way to scratch the rough surface with sandpaper, I find it and I try to scratch on colored area, the color looks deeper because the rough surface become smooth and the white area is reduced, it seems I find a good way, the color become somewhat deeper but my recent color on rough paper have more contrast and it can fit with the scratched texture, so I draw this character with showing off her indigo costume, it's enough space and it's more noticeable, I feel the scratched area become good accent, for a while I amuse this effect and I try to draw the simple character arts.
