Even though I should hold some kind of grudge on Mega Gyarados due to one ending Lancelot the Chesnaught's life in my X Nuzlocke, my love for Gyarados in general just barely overpowered it. That, and it's the coolest Mega Evolution I've seen. It definitely has more of a sea monster feel, something Gyarados had plenty of. Gyarados is bad enough. Imagine encountering a Mega Gyarados.
Honorable mentions:
Mega Lucario - It looks pretty cool, and I liked its berserker moments from the anime.
Mega Gengar - Gengar and its line is one of my favorites, and Mega Gengar got a layer of Nightmare Fuel added to it when it was given Shadow Tag, of all things. Still not the worst holder of that ability, though.
Mega Charizard X - I'm not a huge fan of the Charmander line, but Mega Charizard X looks seriously badass.
