Description

After Tony Stark's passing, Harley began working hard in his little lab on his own initiative. A chill ran down his neck and settled on his shoulders, as if the responsibility was passed on to him even though there's still Pepper and James Rhodes to watch over little Morgan. While the Avengers worry about global, interstellar and multiversal threats, Harley's focus shift towards things much closer to home.

There were rumors of the Stane family collaborating with Hammer Industries and the fact that Stark Industries stocks are at an all-time low now after Tony's death isn't helping. Blood is on the water and the sharks are coming to seize after Stark's assets and if they can't get it through legal means, they have their own military contracts with highly-trained and well-armed black ops PMCs to turn to. With the news of Skrulls hitting media outlets, Harley figured that Rhodey will be too busy with national interests and that leaves Pepper being the first and only line of defense for Morgan. That does not suffice. Not to Harley.

This is Harley's third attempt at building his suit and it took him well over 2 years to complete it. It wasn't easy scouring military controlled items in the black market but dealing with shady personnel was another thing. He wanted to avoid raising eyebrows by reaching out to the Starks so it's inevitable that it will be a lot more difficult than it is supposed to.

Instead of relying on repulsors like Tony's Iron man suits, Harley has integrated his years of research on quantum tunneling while developing his Arc reactor. For a suit that is supposedly heavy, it is capable of shifting through the air at blinding speed and even phase through objects at will, similar to Vision, a former member of the Avengers except that he's relying on an arc reactor instead of an infinity stone. Due to the absence of repulsors, he has to take a "hands-on" approach on his vigilante outings relying on the durability, extraordinary maneuverability and phasing technology of his suit to make-up for any flaws in his martial arts.

He's also given it a personalized touch with the added flame retardant and kevlar-lined purple cloak. He calls it "The Conqueror".
