The "X is evil" argument is completely ridiculous and not convincing in the least.I'm removing the example at the request of a friend of the person who made the statement.
My point still stands, though. Labeling something as evil convinces nobody of anything other than your inability to argue your point.

This reminds me of a discussion I was having with someone about Christianity and Satanism. Pretty much everything stopped for them when "Satan" was mentioned despite it being a largely atheistic religion.

Public schools are evil? I'd love to show that to my former high school teachers. The closes thing to indoctrination is how they teach American history, but then I took college level history.

Public schools were evil when I went there alright. Getting education, getting some goodies such as food and even winning a bike from the time I went to my very first detention in my lifetime, oh yes, public schools are so evil.
So don't go to no public schools nor send your kids to public schools! They're bad! They'll give you education and some teachers may give you some goodies and other great things or such!
...I hated school, but it was better since I enjoyed learning anyways.

If you feel yourself entitled to the life and property of others and have no problem with the use of force being used to "help" you, then public schools probably do look very nice.
But if you believe in individual rights, including the right to put your money and children through the schools you want, public schools are a problem.
