I finished this weeks ago and forgot to post it. I have a few premade adoptables of them I'll be posting on my other account, I just wanted to post this first

Lamplites are around the size of a large dog. They are solitary animals that live in dark forests and hide away in crevices during the day. They are ferocious predators that will hunt anything that stumbles into their casted light. Fortunately they are rarely seen by humans. The masked face is actually a natural part of their body and is not removable. The markings however, are painted on by the mother shortly after birth. Female lamplites have the ability to turn their saliva into a coloured liquid that takes many years of wear before fading. Lamplites without these marks will never be accepted as a mate as they insure they were raised by a good mother and aren't too old.
They will mate every few years and often they will seek out the same partner every time.
