OH....MY GOOOOOOD! Thank you, thank you, thank you....! Whohooooooo! This is my first big win on DA....! I am soooooooooo happy that even my terrible cold seems to have evaporated...! Specially that for a moment I sort of misunderstood the judging system and thought I didn't even make it to the finals....lol, my mistake! Instead....I actually WON.....! It's been like a roller coaster for me: few days ago I was all dissapointed, but now I am on cloud nine....!
I had so much fun working for this piece! Thank you so very much for holding such a great theme contest! Looking forward to participate in the next ones....definitely!

Hmm, I think this piece deserves more comments. Well, here's one for you.
This piece is very interesting to look at. I very much appreciate the consistency of the colors all around. Good job on that. The whole concept is quite unique, which is always a plus in these contests. I'd have to say my favorite part of the piece is the lightning protruding from the hands; it gives the piece power.
It seems like the rings of the dreamcatcher could have been cut out better; they seem a bit rough around the edges, especially the ring that holds the eagle. I personally would have switched the position of the eagle with that of the other bird, but that's just a preference. The eagle is small, so you can barely make out the details of it.
I think that's all I have. I hope you find this helpful, and I wish you best of luck in the contest.

Wow, thank you so very much for noticing my image and for the detailed critique! I understand your point of view with the position of the two birds, but the reason for which a put the eagle down there was to keep a certain hierarchy. The dreamcather does look like badly cut, but only now I realize why: I added some extra glowing circles and gave noise to their edges...just a thing of mine...and the circle around the eagle is not quite following the initial circle of the dreamcatcher, therefore it looks like badly cut...! And that's not an excuse...I like admitting where I go wrong, cause that's how I evolve as an artist: it was just bad thinking from my part, I guess!

Excellent use of effects to create unity throughout this piece and great brushwork to create a frame! Excellent!
If I may suggest something though:
-The hand fade into the background so there are no hard edges, however above the hands, the background (and further up, the wolves) are laid against a rather hard black border. This looks much sharper than the rest of the image and is a little distracting from the focal points. I'd suggest fading/tapering the black edge/border so its smoother.
-Also, if possible I think the hands would look even better if they were more-centered in the frame (the left thumb is cut off by the frame). Not major but it is noticable.
Still, this is an amazing work! Excellent!!

Thank you so so so much for taking the time to comment on my image and specially for the very useful and detailed feedback. The black that you were talking about comes from the initial border that I added only on the sides, so I am not sure I can remove it since I built the frame upon it afterwards. I will try to fade it away but if it doesn't work then I'll just leave it this way as I don't want to make it worse! And the hands look like they're cut off as the initial image was kind of like this. Will see what I can do about it!
