here is a little darker version of classical fairy tales, where a kingdom suffers from both a horrible drought followed by a flood, ruining the harvest and causing famine in the kingdom. It is said that the blood of royal sacrificed to the god of the forest can help make spring arrive again, but out of the current royal family, only the princess is of the old royal family.....

The queen is not too fond of needing to order her step-daughter be killed in order to stop their people from starve during winter, but when it is the need of many vs a singe life....

So her son from the first marriage offers to take the life of his step-sister....
