Real name Shawna Williams
Age 27
Shawna is a Neo Sapiens, a product of Doctor Demon's genetic meddling when she was a fetus. Demon wanted to create a super race by secretly introducing a mutagen to dozens of pregnant women. Like the other test subjects, Shawna was born apparently perfectly normal, and had a typical childhood. When Shawna and her fellow test subjects hit puberty, Demon began abducting the children to test whether his mutagen had yielded positive results. The Crusaders discovered Demon's plot and rescued the children, and offered to help them with puzzling out and mastering their powers.
Shawna figured out her abilities fairly quickly, but her parents wanted her to still have a normal life as a teenager, so Shawna returned to school with something of a secret identity. For a time, she led a part-time career as teen super-heroine Zephyr, helping the Crusaders and particularly Tech Girl, but her adventures were limited in scope.
Shawna graduated high school and went to college for her teaching degree, then became an educator. She lives a fairly normal life, but her past with the Crusaders casts shadows over everything around her, even if she doesn't notice them.
Powers
Neo Sapiens physiology - Shawna’s body has been augmented by Doctor Demon’s mutagen, She has superhuman strength, enabling her to lift about five tons. Her durability is also in the superhuman range; only high-caliber ammunition can actually penetrate her skin, others simply cause bruising. She is also able to hold her breath for up to ten minutes at a time.
Aerokinesis - Shawna has the ability to mentally manipulate quantities of air for a variety of effects
Wind Manipulation - Shawna can generate powerful winds with surprising accuracy and force, from blowing a single candle out on a birthday cake without disturbing the others to summing hurricane-force winds capable of destroying all but the sturdiest structures. She can also use this ability to fly at whatever wind speed she can generate, or use cushions of air to lift other people or objects. She can also generate winds around her body which makes it all but impossible to hit her with bullets or other missile weapons.
Atmospheric attunement - Shawna’s abilities also allow her to sense the movement of air down to the molecular level. She can easily sense air currents, detect different types of gasses, and detect varying degrees of air temperature up to 100 yards away.
