As a Valkyrie she is dedicated to her duties of being Odin's "spear" slaying tainted souls in the name of his majesty; although she's fearsome during combat Rana has a playful side to her. She enjoys teasing folks making a game out of it; she usually seems friendly and companion like, however, you shouldn't drop your guard when you're with her. Looks are deceiving and Rana is no exception to this rule. On the outside, she may look like a gallant warrior of Asgard, but she is no longer a seraphic entity under Odin's commands nor does she have loyalty to him. Due to some trauma and some bad blood that developed between her and her former sire, she became a scornful woman and developed sadistic tendencies. Rana will kill for the thrill especially if a person is full of taint and has done wrong, she gets a kick out of it and will make it as painful as possible. She even uses Odin's name as she commits these acts of violence; even those with a pure soul will meet their end by her spear. She isn't as gruesome as she is with the tainted, she makes it quick and painless. You could try to argue, scold, and reason with her, but her heart is apathetic; Rana sees it as a twisted way of showing them mercy. They'll never have to experience how unruly the world truly is, won't experience the trauma of war and tragedy, to her, this is a gift and her retribution.

Bio/History:

A young girl brought into the world made to be a warrior of the righteous King of Asgard; Rana didn't have a difficult life growing up. She lived the same way as the rest of her sisters learning the art of battle and the warrior way. The training was hard and labor-intensive, yet she did not complain this is how it's always been that's what they've been told. They must endure hardship if they wanted to be ready for the duty placed upon them, to protect the glory of Asgard. Rana worked hard and had always pushed herself to be in top physical condition, even when her muscle ached she'd push herself to the limit. With that hard work and determination, she eventually became a skilled spear fighter alongside her older sister Ymir. Even though during training they had an obvious rivalry, they bared no ill will towards each other. The training and rivalry honestly brought them closer, those heated and silly moments of laughter would be the happiest memories Rana would hold close to her heart.

Things took a dark turn when it came time to actually bear arms; a surprise assault had been sprung on Asgard. All warriors were demanded on the battlefield, which included Rana and Ymir; the problem was that they were still young and inexperienced with real combat. They struggled at first, Rana stuck by her sister as they fought to watch each others backs; together they fought efficiently managing to keep enemies at bay. It felt like they were going to make it through this that they would be victorious; they continue to work in tandem pushing the enemy back further. However, they met their match when facing a high ranking Hel soldier; their teamwork wasn't enough, and Ymir lost her life protecting Rana. Seeing her sister decapitated in front of broke the Valkyrie, it sent her into a fury as charges the soldier violently trying to pierce him with her spear. She couldn't land a single hit on him, he bested her and threw the young Valkyrie to the ground readying to strike her. At that point, Rana was ready to accept death; she doesn't fight it. It may be shameful, but at least she would be reunited with her sister, the noticed how lax she became.

In a final act of cruelty, he didn't give her the sweet bliss of death but let her live to suffer in despair of her loss. Hel's army withdrew Rana's eyes glances at the lifeless body of her sister and then to the battlefield before her, so many of her sisters had fallen. It wasn't fair, this wasn't fair; Rana overtaken by anger and grief wanted retribution. This she brought to Odin, that should retaliate against Hel's heinous crime against their home and people. However, they couldn't afford it, especially so soon, he denied her request. Still full of rage Rana spoke out against Odin, she knew her duties as a warrior; however, most of the lives lost were her sisters. Odin sent them out to fight, to die, young and still inexperienced warriors to the front lines to keep his men safe. A heated argument broke out between her and his majesty; which caused her to fall from Asgard. Rana would not let this go, not until she gets the retribution that she deserves. The fallen Valkyrie wandered the earth realm for years having a reign of terror in Odin's name; she eventually came across Althea Academy. Two thoughts came into her mind, she could either level the sanctum into rubble as she's done to many before her. Or she could join their ranks and possibly become stronger, maybe strong enough to finally bring retribution on the ones that have wronged her; she grimly smiles at the second option, soon they will all get their due.
