This may sound weird, but I think she is too "Cute." I like the Badness of Maleficent, this lacks the cruelty and anger in the character. The art is good, but I just don't think it captures her. Sorry to be a downer.

No offence meant, but I always imagine Maleficent as someone more malevolent in appearance, much like Disney's Sleeping beauty. Then again, no one said that evil cannot hide behind a cute/pretty/beautiful face (I haven't watched the more recent film version, so my bad in case I'm mistaken).
