I loved the previous version as well as these but after A LOT of trial and error I can't for the life of me figure out how he's using these in his OS X dock.
I've tried using CandyBar, Docker, SuperDocker, & TinkerTool. I think he's using a 2D dock with some modified files but I'd LOVE it if you'd share how you're creating your dock for these icons.
Also, how are your screenshots showing such long file names on your desktop? As far as I know, OSX truncates long file names on the desktop.

go to system/library/coreservices/dock.app/contents/resources
and delete bottom1,2,3,4,5.png files or use mirage cleardock app from macthemes2.net

Hey there. Love the work and want to say thank you for being so open and sharing (and thanks for that second tutorial update that includes some of the resource files).
I'm having a little trouble w/the 'DockTabs' and how they work. Made some progress, but am a little stuck. Wondering if someone can provide some more clarity into how these DockTabs are set up... and start at a high-level before diving into anything deep.
Top Icons
a) Top tabs are icons that replace the drive icons, yes? If so, then how did you remove the drive label from showing up on the desktop?
b) Are these set up for single or double click access? Is it possible this is actually a second dock via some other application (drag thing)?
c) Possible to use tab icons on the desktop, but use a different icon elsewhere in the system so you are ONLY viewing the tabs on the desktop?
Bottom Tabs
Ok. Got the dock transparent, moved to the left and did a test on one icon to see how it works (icon fits right into the faux dock, nice!). So far so good, however
a) I'm getting the little 'glow' dot below each open item - how are these turned off? Looks as though text changes color when active, yes? How does that work?
b) Will custom icons be needed for EVERY app that shows up on the dock?
c) Possible to ONLY show tab icons in the dock, and not elsewhere throughout the OS?
Custom Dock Icons
Link in the tutorials are not working, and didn't see this file in the second tutorial resources. Anyone able to reup?
Cheers,
-pr
