Fiona is the total oppiste of Carmen she has anger problems and can't talk but can still make grunting noises and humming etc so of course she uses sign language to talk to Carmen and the other humans monsters understand her as well.

In the SwapFell AU she is wiser and less angry all the time but still has an attitude and very protective of Carmen guiding her along the way.
