And he send me that ddr mat, so I'm just going to gift him random art from time to time until I find another notebook as perfect as that one was!

I like the textured look you accomplished with the digital brush strokes. It introduces the necessary shadows/highlights while at the same time not making the character look glossy or "plastic" for lack of a better term.
