Avery is also from a timeline where the world was at war from the mid 2020s until the mid 2030s. They grew up in a war-ravaged town as an orphan and became something of a paramilitary survivalist in order to stay alive after the rest of the people in their hometown were killed. They were spared in that conflict only because they stayed out of the way and defended themselves with pilfered arms.
To this day (sometime in lthe late 2030s), they live in their hometown, only leaving when people hire them or they need to gather supplies.
They work as a hired gun known only as Absolute Zero, a name they received and simply ran with.
