Description
This is my interpretation of the ending.
After Sunny wakes up in the hospital, he talks to his friends about the truth behind Mari’s death. They all forgive him. Sunny’s mother reveals to Sunny that they aren’t moving that far, just a little out of town, meaning Sunny will be able to visit his friends with just a long walk. One day, while the group is at the library, they discover a book talking about resurrecting a person. The group uses this knowledge on Mari, who they resurrect by “making a rope” that will connect her spirit to her body. She comes back to life and expresses she’s forgiven Sunny a long time ago, and that she believes Omori did it, not him. She has a white streak in her hair that represents the rope. This gives Aubrey the idea that they should all dye a streak of their hair the same color shade to symbolize their friendship. Sunny suggests blue, and they all get different shades.

Eventually, their group starts to hang out with the hooligans more often, and start to form a big friend group.

I know it’s a little too sweet, but it’s MY ending and I get to decide if it’s good or bad!!!!!
