Description The Poem of the Gardens
Paige Sharp

It's a sunny day, and
we're all outside
No-one else. Just us;
the girls from year 9 top set English.

The grass has recently been cut,
The clouds have recently been formed
And my mind is awake more than ever.

I can even smell the greenness of the grass,
And taste the marshmallow-like clouds.
I know there is a bigger world; inside my head.

It's quiet except from us, and
I can hear the world breathing.
I can feel her warmth around me.

The sun, she's shining brighter now,
And the air has turned  to perfume.
Us girls, will be girls wherever we are.

I don't try and hear them and their stories.
I listen to the nature around me.
The breeze sweeping through the trees again,
And I listen. I listen.

The soft clouds have passed the sun's way.
They are there for a while,
Almost as if they have stopped to say hello
