Description
This is the map detailing the rise of South American imperial powers. While the new North American Unified Nation (NAUN) controls the northwestern portion of the continent, Brazil quickly begins to flex its muscle first by cooperating with the NAUN to secure territory and a tentative alliance, then by asserting its dominance over weaker South American states.Brazil defeats Argentina in a quick war that puts itself firmly in control of the rest of the continent, and it henceforth seeks a policy of establishing Brazil as an inter-oceanic power. By tiptoeing around a treaty with the NAUN that forbade it from taking more land from the new rump-state of unoccupied Peru, Brazil is able to establish a port on the Pacific. Because the NAUN is hesitant to enforce the treaty by going to war with the largest power of the continent, Brazil is left to largely do as it pleases.
