Description
This draw was the first to be drawn of 2024 after a 2-3 year art hiatus, TWRP released a new album called "Digital Nightmare" which is FULL of good hits and bangers. One of the melodies in particular "Content 4 You" was the reason for getting me out of my rut, I cant tell you how many time I had this song on repeat, as a result this picture was born as part of an idea I had for a fan music video for this song. The plot of the music video goes like this:
The story revolves around "Cadet Song," who is the protagonist of this thrilling tale. She and her friends are living and working in a facility based on networks and technology. As part of their daily routine, they all have to take an orange tablet with every meal, which IBS (the company running the facility) claims is a "vitamin" to help keep them healthy. However, over time, some of the team members start experiencing weird health concerns such as pain in their wrists, hands, and even shaky hands.
The situation worsens when Doc and Meouch leave the facility without any reason or word, followed by Song's other friends, Xandra, Raikou, and Giggston, who had already left long before this in a similar manner. The only thing left behind for Song was a small case that Xandra left for her for "emergencies." This raises some red flags in Song's mind, and she starts investigating.
As the days pass, Song relaxes more, but this causes more of her friends to leave, and she starts feeling upset that they are abandoning her and the others. One night, Song starts coughing up blood, and as she hurries to the bathroom to take a closer look, she realizes more that she is bleeding orange from both her nose and mouth. She checks her medicine bottle to see what the side effects are, but there are none mentioned.
As a result, Song starts connecting the dots and realizes that people are leaving because they are getting sick due to the pills they are taking daily. Xandra's case was to shut down the facility's systems entirely, which Song uses to connect it her work computer.
Phobos and Havve receive messages from their friends to tell them "to get everyone we know out and head out front, we'll pick you guys up." They go to tell Song about the situation, but when they arrive, they see that she is already on the same page. Once the timer for the system shutdown is ready, she leaves with the other two in the elevator to the front of the building.
When they reach the front, they are greeted by Xandra and the others, who are waiting for them. Before Song can greet them with hugs, she starts feeling faint and falls as she reaches the last two steps. The others rush to check on her and realize that more orange blood is coming out of her nose. They classify her as a victim of GROBB phase 2 and give her a blue pill to reverse the effects, which works almost instantly, revealing the facility to be a more blue-hued place than how she originally saw it. They hop in the car just as the timer goes off, leaving the facility behind.
The meaning behind the story is about people trying to escape reality do to all the bad things, but sometimes remaining in wonderland for too long can warp your perception of reality and become bad for you, so a small dose of reality is ok for you and can benefit. the Blue pill is actually called "Reality" so it's really fitting. another fun fact, if you look really close you can see binary codes in the drawing, the binary code roughly translates to, for those that know the song, the lyrics "Feed, Feed the Machine. We Got to Feed the Machine" from the song itself. Have some fun facts for today XPNice to pop in again, take care and Enjoy!!!
